#ShareSomeCookie and Support RMHC Families
As of October 1st, 2018, McDonald’s Canada has launched the new RMHC Cookie nationwide. These cookies are inspired by a tradition of baking cookies in the kitchens of every Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room. A portion of the proceeds from every RMHC Cookie will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Chapters across Canada to provide support for over 25,000 families of sick children each year!
RMHC-SWO celebrated the new RMHC Cookie with a Cookie Bake-Off at the London House. London Knights hockey players, Alex Turko and Josh Nelson, joined the fun as three Ronald McDonald House Families teamed up and accepted the challenged to make the best cookie.
Watch The Great Cookie Bake-Off and join our host, CTV London's Julie Atchison, to meet our bakers and find out which cookie our judges picked as the favourite.
Baking cookies is a simple thing—except when you are living away from home because your child is being treated at a hospital in a city far away.
Moms like Erin Little, who stayed at RMHC Southwestern Ontario (RMHC-SWO) while her oldest daughter was in the hospital, explain that eating a freshly baked cookie is a simple treat that means so much.
For a single moment in a stressful situation eating a cookie fills you with love. It's so heartwarming knowing that the cookies are baked by someone who just wants to spread love to families who need a little extra.
