HOST A COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER

Want to give back, but not sure where to start? Do something that you love!

  • “A-thons” - dance, run, swim, walk
  • Auctions
  • Arts & Crafts or Bake sale
  • BBQ
  • Car wash
  • Coinboxes
  • Cook-Off
  • Garage or Toy Sale
  • Lemonade or hot chocolate stand
  • Festivals
  • Tournaments
    (backyard games, baseball, golf, lawn bowling, hockey)

      HOW WE CAN HELP SUPPORT:  

    • Provide a letter of support from RMHC-SWO that validates the authenticity of your event
    • Provide use of our name and “In Support of RMHC-SWO” logo, if applicable
    • Including your fundraiser in our online Event Calendar, and in eNewsletters, if applicable
    • Offer advice and guidance in event planning
    • Provide online fundraising tools and branded items (stickers, fact sheets, etc.)
    • Attend fundraisers and check presentations if schedule permits
    • Issue tax receipts in accordance to Canada Revenue Agency Guidelines, if applicable

    CREATE AN ONLINE FUNDRAISER

    Create your own fundraiser online to help support RMHC Families! With a few easy steps, you will have a personalized fundraiser page with a custom link to share with friends and family.

        HOW TO SET UP AN ONLINE FUNDRAISER:   

    1. Go To RMHC Canada
    2. Click "Create Fundraiser"

    Individual Fundraiser:
    Donations will be accepted to ONE fundraising page.

    Team Fundraiser:
    Donations can be accepted on multiple fundraising pages that are all linked together to reach a common goal.

    Step 1: Details

    • Name your fundraiser
    • Select Ronald McDonald House Charities SWO as your Chapter of choice
     

    Step 2: Image

    • Upload an image, or choose one
    • You can add in a YouTube link, or upload multiple photos (a gallery)
     

    Step 3: Event

    • In STEP 1 if you selected 'yes' to hosting an event, this step is all about those event details
    • You can use this as a “Registration” page of sorts
     

    Step 4: Review

    • Confirm the details and check-off the legal statements
    • Click Launch
     

    You did it - Congratulations!
    If you chose the 'Team' option, invite your crew to join you! They will be able to create their own fundraising page that is connected to yours. Share your fundraiser link on social media and remember to thank your donors!

    Have a Facebook Account? Fundraising just got easier! Share “What’s on your mind” and choose the ‘Raise Money’ option for a seamless way to encourage your friends to give back to an organization that is close to your heart.

        FOLLOW THE STEPS TO ADD A "DONATE" BUTTON TO YOUR POST!   

     

    Step 1:

    Create a post/status on your profile.

    Step 2:

    Before posting, click the button with three dots.

    Step 3:

    Click 'Raise Money', it might be in a different spot on your page.

    Step 4:

    Search for RMHC-SWO by typing:
    Ronald McDonaldHouse Charities SWO or RMHC-SWO

    Step 5:

    Proof read your message and then click 'Post'

    Reminder: Tag @RMHCSWO and add a picture or video!
