Meals from the Heart Volunteering in London
RMH LONDON & FAMILY ROOM

Dinner Group Volunteering

Volunteers prepare nutritious and balanced meals, taking care of food preparations and easing guest families' financial stress so they can focus on their children. The refreshed Meals from the Heart program will help ensure feeding 100+ people daily remains sustainable and accessible.

What's new with the program?

To take any rush & worry out of the cooking experience, RMHC-SWO will get all the groceries. You’ll simply select 1 of 3 dinner sponsorship levels and all the food items needed for your dinner menu will be here when you arrive.

3 sponsorship levels for your group to choose from to help cover grocery costs:

  • The Heart Warmer Option – $300
  • The Comfort of Home Option – $500
  • The Aspiring Chef Experience* - $1,000
*Please note the Aspiring Chef Experience with Chef Kim is only available Sunday – Wednesday.

You’ll pick a menu for dinner..
Each dinner sponsorship has several tasty menus to pick from in advance of your volunteer dinner night. These menus have been specially put together by Chef Kim, ensuring families staying with us receive variety, nutrition, and a taste of home while staying close to their seriously ill children.

get Started!

1) Book your dinner group to cook on a date available in our online dinner calendar:

CLICK TO BOOK A DINNER NIGHT

2) You’ll receive an email providing the option to select your sponsorship level and up to 3 dinner menus* associated with that level. Be sure to hit "Submit" when the form is complete and check your email for a confirmation of the date & menu option your group will cook in our kitchen.
*We ask you to choose up to 3 menus so we can ensure families receive a variety of meals throughout the week.

3)On your dinner night, please arrive at the London RMHC with your group members (up to 8 people) at 3 pm. If you would like to have a tour of the House, we ask you to arrive at 2:30 pm so the tour can take place before you start in the kitchen.

No grocery shopping needed or kitchen orientation to complete – just come with your group and an open heart ready to see the impact your support makes firsthand! You’ll have fun making a delicious meal & serving to families, feel accomplished after packaging any leftovers for lunch the next day, and leave feeling rewarded after a quick clean-up.
