Individual Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Southwestern Ontario. We rely on our team of dedicated volunteers who play a valuable role in the day-to-day running of RMH London, the RM Family Room London, and with our special events and fundraising opportunities.


House Refresher

For the individual who likes to keep busy, House Refreshers play a vital role in ensuring a clean and comfortable “home away from home” for our families. This individual can be found organizing the common areas, collecting donations, stocking supplies, checking inventory and much more. Every day is different at Ronald McDonald House London and House Refreshers work hard to create a sense of normalcy for the families staying here.

House Ambassador - Reception Desk

House Ambassadors play an important role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. This front-line position can be found answering phone calls, screening and greeting visitors, assisting families at check-in and helping them acclimate to their new surroundings. House Ambassadors play a key role in the daily operations and provide back up to the Family Services Team.

  • What is your COVID-19 Policy?

    Due to COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, in-person volunteer opportunities are currently limited and may be subject to change. All volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID and provide proof of second dose prior to their first scheduled shift.

  • How old do I have to be to volunteer at the RMH London?

    Candidates must be 16 and over to volunteer individually in the House or be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • How old do I have to be to volunteer at the RM Family Room?

    Ronald McDonald Family Room volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible.
  • I want to volunteer with a group, where do I start?
